Ken Lacco Couta boat.
- Boat has had 1 owner
Pride was bulit in 1932 by Ken Lacco and has a significat part of history in Victoria as a couta fishing boat. When Pride was built, she revolutionised the design of the couta boats at the time. Pride sailed so well when she was built that a year after being launched she won the annual Boxing Day race from Hastings jetty to the shipping channel beacon.
Pride will be fully restored to include the modern features of a new boat, whilst maintaining the style and charm of a traditional couta boat. Pride would be ideal for someone who is interetsed in couta boats and wishes to be part of the next chapter in this wonderful boat's life.
The Wooden Boat Shop will complete the restoration using a combination of traditional boat building techniques, and charge you for the cost of the restoration only, with no cost for the boat.
