Mary is a 20' Couta boat, clinker built in Rosebud in the 1930s by master builder Ken Lacco. Her hull is a kauri wood clinker construction and has a near new Yanmar 2YM15 15HP engine with a handful of hours. Mary has received many upgrades and significant repairs including: New motor, electrical system with two batteries and two pumps on separate systems, structural repairs, full paint removal and application of polyurethane paint.
Tim Phillips "When Ken built the Mary for the Lorne fishery, she was made extra beamy for carrying a big catch of couta. She has always taken a special place in my heart as I believe her and Helen are extra special Ken Lacco couta boats".
Over the last few years, she has had the "asking price" spent on her, now she presents in very good condtion, ideal as a family fishing boat or dare I say ideal conversion back to a sailing couta boat.
