Wooden Boat Shop - Queenscliff Workshop

Overview of the Queenscliff WBS Workshop

Wooden Boat Shop ~ Queenscliff

Fast turnaround, specialised wooden boat service.

The Queenscliff workshop is a new addition to the Wooden Boat Shop business allowing extra facilities for boat construction and maintenance across the bay from the main yard in Sorrento. It is situated in the new Queenscliff Harbour, a modern marina precinct established in a true Victorian working harbour.
Having this workshop allows us to provide convenient service to those on the other side of the bay as well as showcase our traditional wooden boat construction methods and our line of boats.

Being situated at Queenscliff Harbour allows quick and easy slipping of boats for general repairs, painting, varnishing and mechanical service as well as launching newly constructed boats.
Chandlery orders are sent over on the car ferry almost daily allowing the Queenscliff facility to be a direct extension of the Sorrento yard.

Our team is passionate about Wooden Boats and their construction, if you would like to follow the construction of our boats then this can be seen at our Queenscliff Workshop as well as here on our website.
Please click the 'Projects at Queenscliff' tab above to view our photo gallery of constructions taking place at the Queenscliff workshop.
Alternatively you can view all our construction projects by clicking the 'back to WBS home page' and then navigating to the projects tab.

Cheviot 32 SSCBC start boat construction at Queenscliff

Cheviot 32 "SSCBC start boat"

Clinton & Tom who are both permanently based at Queenscliff are currently busy building a Cheviot 32 in the shed for the SSCBC. It will fit the role as Couta Boat start boat exceptionally well.

"I remember the days of the Emma Louise starting all the races, a boat which has become almost iconic."
~ Wayne Parr

No one could disagree that when SSCBC hosted the 49er worlds, Nepean launches stretched out over the sailing course starting every race looked fantastic.
