The Wooden Boatshop occupies 2½ acres in the historic Victorian settlement of Sorrento on Port Phillip Bay, Australia.
The business has evolved from a purpose built facility for Couta boat construction to a complete facility for wooden boat design, construction, restoration and maintenance.
Visit the Wooden Boat Shop Sorrento to purchase items from our chandlery, enquire about new boats, flagpoles or to discuss works from our vast range of services.

The Queenscliff workshop is a new addition to the Wooden Boat Shop business allowing extra facilities for boat construction and maintenance across the bay from the main yard in Sorrento. It is situated in the new Queenscliff Harbour, a modern marina precinct established in a true Victorian working harbour.
Having this workshop allows us to provide convenient service to those on the other side of the bay as well as showcase our traditional wooden boat construction methods and our line of boats.
Being situated at Queenscliff Harbour allows quick and easy slipping of boats for general repairs, painting, varnishing and mechanical service as well as launching newly constructed boats. Chandlery orders are sent over on the car ferry almost daily allowing the Queenscliff facility to be a direct extension of the Sorrento yard.
